PETA: UniverSoul Circus elephants may have tuberculosis

The animal rights group PETA states that two UniverSoul Circus elephants could be carrying a strain of tuberculosis that is transmittable to humans, but a circus spokesman says the animals are healthy and have been cleared for travel by the federal agriculture department. The animals test results provided to the Free Press by the UniverSoul Circus show that the two elephants tested negative for tuberculosis and conflicted with PETA’s results from prior years, but PETA still says the animals could create a public health risk.
